I have thought about writing this post a million different ways to adequately honor my connection with all of the wonderful people I have met through Bon Lemon. But in true “Amy” fashion, I am just going to get to the point. Bon Lemon is closing. Not because we didn’t have the most supportive, awesome, bunch of customers EVER, we did. You guys are the BEST, BEST, BEST community EVER! We just never quite figured out how to grow to a sustainable level and after trying lots of different things, we have decided it’s time for the next chapter.
The greatest lessons of my life have come from things not working out how I had planned. Boyfriends. Oh, thank sweet baby Jesus, for the boyfriends that didn’t work out. Jobs. The flight I missed that ended up crashing. (True story.) For me, the things that haven’t “worked out” are what really helped me find out where I wanted to be. Bon Lemon is no different. I have so enjoyed meeting all of you on this journey and can't wait to see where it leads us all next.
Luckily, Spruce has generously volunteered to fill our space with their own curated collection of wonderful wares. I am sure Annie will have European boots and IPA in there before you know it. Some of your old favorites like Grace and Lace, S'well, and Goofy Foot Pretzels will remain. There will even be a little section for Bon Lemon pop up, where we will continue selling a small amount of jewelry. (We just couldn’t live without our Lemon fix.)
Your gift certificates will be honored. All of our employees will transfer over to working for Spruce. In lots of ways, many things will stay the same. We have been so honored to be apart of your birthdays, holidays, and memories for the last 6 years. The contribution you have made to our local non-profits has made a real difference. And the connections made at Bon Lemon will last a lifetime. Merci! Merci! Merci!
As many of you know, I have starting working as a commercial broker with Kidder Mathews. If you need help selling or leasing a commercial property, it would be my pleasure to work with you. My contact information can be found here: http://www.kiddermathews.com/professionals/evans-amy.php
